Alex Conlan, Managing Director, provides our clients with industry and competitive analysis, valuation, and external marketing materials. Prior to joining Conlan Scientific, she spent four years in Barclays' investment banking division. There she gained extensive experience in M&A and Leveraged Financings working on both buy and sell-side transactions. During her tenure, she helped clients raise over $5 billion for take privates, tuck-in acquisitions, growth capital, and dividend recapitalizations. As part of these transactions, she liaised with private equity funds and served clients across a variety of industries including cybersecurity, software, healthcare, consumer, and education.

Before joining Barclays, Alex worked with start-ups and serial inventors having spent two years in Technology Transfer at the University of Iowa Research Foundation. During that role, she sourced technology partners, sized markets, and forecasted financials. Mrs. Conlan graduated with honors and distinction from the University of Iowa, where she received a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering.
